Realme has officially announced the launch date of its new smartphone, Realme 16T 5G. The company is all set to launch this phone in India on May 22. Before the launch, many special features of the phone have been revealed, of which its powerful 8000mAh battery is attracting the most attention. The company claims that this phone can last for three days on a single charge. With its powerful battery, new design and 5G support, this phone is ready to give a tough competition in the mid-range market segment.
Launch date and color options
Sharing details on social media platform X, Realme announced that the Realme 16T 5G will be launched in India on May 22 at 12:00 noon. The company also confirmed that this phone will be available in Starlight Black, Starlight Red and Blue color options. This smartphone can be purchased from the official website of Flipkart and Realme India. This is the fourth model in the Realme 16 series, following the earlier launches of Realme 16, Realme 16 Pro, and Realme 16 Pro Plus. Ahead of the launch, the company has also made a microsite live for this phone, which suggests that more features will be announced in the coming days.
Equipped with 8000mAh battery
The most special feature of Realme 16T 5G is considered to be its 8000mAh ‘Titan’ battery. The company claims that this phone can be used for three days on a single charge. According to Realme, this device will support up to 14.3 hours of gaming, up to 34 hours of social media scrolling and up to 21.9 hours of navigation use. The company claims that this battery can maintain excellent performance for seven years. This phone will also support 45W wired fast charging, bypass charging and wired reverse charging. Despite having such a big battery, the phone maintains a slim profile with a thickness of just 8.8 mm.
Design and processor
Realme 16T 5G is set to launch with a flat rear panel design. There will be a square-shaped camera module on the back of this phone, which will have a dual rear camera setup, LED flash and a selfie mirror. The power button and volume controls will be placed on the right side of the device. According to reports, this smartphone may have MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. According to the Geekbench listing, it will feature an octa-core chipset, consisting of two performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six efficiency cores clocked at 2GHz. It is expected that this phone will have at least 8GB RAM, Android 16 and Mali G57 MC2 GPU.
