Xiaomi has confirmed that a new 5G smartphone of the Redmi A-series is going to be launched soon for the customers in the Indian market. Along with confirming the launch date of Redmi A7 Pro 5G, the company has also confirmed the key features that the phone will offer. This device has been listed on the company’s official website under the tagline “King of Power and Style”. The company is targeting the budget segment with this device, with special emphasis on battery capacity, software improvements, and AI integration.
A dedicated microsite has been created for this upcoming phone on both the company’s website and Amazon, in which information about the features of the device is given. The microsite on Amazon also reveals that after the official launch, this phone will be available for purchase on Amazon apart from the company’s own website Mi.com.
Redmi A7 Pro 5G specifications (confirmed)
According to the information provided on Xiaomi’s official website, this phone will be launched with an octa-core 5G processor—which is said to be the fastest in the segment. Apart from this, a strong 6300 mAh battery is provided to power the device. Users can also expect a larger, smoother display and support for Xiaomi’s “Hyper Island” (based on HyperOS 3) on this handset. Talking about the camera setup, this phone will have a 32-megapixel dual rear camera setup, along with AI camera features and capabilities like “Circle to Search”.
As of now, details regarding the exact size of the display, specific chipset, resolution of the secondary rear camera, resolution of the front-facing camera, and fast-charging watt capacity are not yet confirmed. Hopefully, the rest of these features will also be officially revealed as the launch date gets closer.
