New Delhi, June 8 (IANS). Government oil marketing company Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) said on Monday that the supply of petrol, diesel, CNG and LPG in Delhi remains completely normal. The company is ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply in the capital through its strong supply chain and retail network.
The company said that fuel availability remains stable at all its petrol pumps in Delhi. Due to regular stock replenishment and logistics operations, there is sufficient fuel available for consumers, businesses, transport operators and essential services.
According to BPCL, petrol sales in Delhi stood at over 27,800 metric tonnes (MT) during May 2026, up from 27,100 MT in the same period last year. In this way an increase of about 2.5 percent was recorded in petrol sales.
Additionally, diesel sales also witnessed steady growth in May, reaching over 16,500 MT in May 2025 as against over 16,100 MT in May 2025, reflecting a growth of around 2.9 per cent.
The public sector company said it supplied more than 33,400 metric tonnes of CNG during May. This met the growing needs of Delhi’s public transport network, commercial vehicles and clean fuel based transport system.
Apart from transportation fuel, the company is also catering to the needs of a large number of LPG consumers in Delhi.
BPCL supplied more than 7.7 lakh domestic LPG cylinders during May. Additionally, more than 18,000 commercial LPG cylinders and more than 22,000 FTL LPG cylinders were also supplied.
According to the company, the continuously increasing demand for fuel and LPG is an indication that economic activities, movement of people, business operations and energy needs are continuously increasing in Delhi.
BPCL spokesperson said, “BPCL is fully committed to ensuring reliable and uninterrupted energy supply in Delhi. Our supply chain and logistics networks are functioning efficiently, enabling us to meet the changing needs of customers while maintaining adequate availability of fuel and LPG.”
He said that the company’s petrol pumps and LPG distribution network in Delhi are functioning completely normally. There has been no supply disruption due to regular product supply, better inventory management and coordinated logistics operations.
