New Delhi, November 21 (IANS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Friday that technology and innovation will be an important part of India’s partnership with Israel.
Speaking to the media at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, the Union Minister said, “I believe that we can work closely with Israel to boost our startup ecosystem and look forward to taking it to the level of deep tech and high quality innovation at competitive prices given India’s large economy. We are looking forward to a deep partnership with Israel, which has one startup for every thousand persons in its population.”
He said that India wants to become the startup capital of the world in the coming years.
Regarding the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, Union Minister Goyal said, “I got the opportunity to come here so that I can understand how such a small country can do such big innovations. They have converted obstacles into opportunities. The way they have coordinated between their defense and farming needs and modern technology for health and climate change. I am extremely impressed by that.”
Union Minister Goyal also informed about his visit to Perez Center for Peace and Innovation through a post on social media platform X.
