New Delhi, October 21 (IANS). Union New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi said on Tuesday that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, farmers are rapidly adopting innovation and clean energy.
Along with this, the Union Minister also shared a success story and told how a farmer is producing 25,000 units of electricity daily by installing solar panels in his field. Along with this, farming has also been continued under these panels.

Earlier, the Union Minister said that India has added a record 25 GW of renewable energy capacity in the April-September period this year and with about 125 GW of solar capacity, India is now the third largest solar power producer in the world.
The Union Minister said, “India has achieved a historic achievement in the field of clean energy by adding a record 25 GW of renewable energy capacity in April-September 2025 (H1FY26). This achievement reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a bright and sustainable future and through this the country is accelerating its journey towards global leadership in the field of renewable energy.”
Currently, the share of non-fossil sources in the total installed power capacity in the country has exceeded 50 percent, making India to meet its renewable energy targets five years ahead of schedule.
During the inaugural ceremony of the 8th session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), the Union Minister said that India’s success story is not just about numbers, but about people. The event is scheduled to be held in the national capital from October 27 to 30.
