New Delhi, November 8 (IANS). Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal on Saturday described the ‘National Urban Conclave 2025’ as a symbol of the government’s collective commitment towards the goal of a developed India by 2047.
Giving information in a post on the social media platform, Union Minister Manohar Lal said that he had participated in the ‘National Urban Conclave 2025’ organized at Yashobhoomi Convention Center in New Delhi.
“This conclave under the leadership of PM Modi symbolizes technology-driven and people-centric urban ecosystem in improving the quality of life of every citizen towards the goal of a developed India by 2047,” he wrote in a post on his X handle.
“This conclave is a symbol of our collective commitment,” he said.
Giving information about the conclave, Union Minister Manohar Lal said that on this occasion, Team Urban – policy-makers, urban development ministers and innovators came together to discuss the roadmap for sustainable, inclusive and future-ready cities.
According to the Union Minister, on this occasion the ‘Developed India City Exhibition’ which gives concrete shape to the vision of future Indian cities was also inaugurated.
He said that this exhibition is a great example of sustainable development, technology-enabled security, and inclusive innovation, which reflects a vibrant, humane and progressive urban India.
In his address, the Union Minister said that all the schemes like Amrit Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission, National Livelihood Mission, PM Awas Yojana, PM Swanidhi have been important in bringing a big change in the lives of the people.
Earlier on Friday, Union Minister Manohar Lal had inaugurated the 18th Urban Mobility India Conference-cum-Exhibition 2025 in Gurugram. While giving information in this program, he had said that India has become the third largest metro network in the world with 1100 km operational metro network. He had expressed hope that the country’s progress would soon take it to the second position.
