New Delhi, October 24 (IANS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is meeting many top CEOs and industry leaders during his Berlin visit.
In his recent meeting with top industry leaders, he talked about enhancing cooperation from India’s automotive industry to the semiconductor sector and the country’s clean energy journey.
Giving information on social media platform X, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, “I have had an excellent meeting with Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group.”
Giving information about this meeting, he said that we discussed the company’s operations in India and their expansion plans, as they are working to promote more innovation and sustainable growth in the Indian automotive industry.
In addition, he also met Jochen Hanebeck, CEO of Infineon Technologies AG. The Union Minister’s meeting with Hanebek was special for enhancing opportunities for cooperation and exchange of ideas in semiconductors and decarbonization initiatives.

In this meeting they discussed new ways of cooperation in engineering solutions, digitalization and intelligence.
Union Minister Goyal said in an ex-post that India is rapidly moving towards exceeding its Sustainable Development Goals in the renewable energy sector.
In this context, he met Mr. Tobias Bischof-Niemz, member of the Management Board of ENERTRAG. In this meeting, the Union Minister talked about the opportunities to work together in the country’s clean energy journey.
According to the Union Minister, his meeting with Dr. Martin Herrenknecht, Founder and CEO of Herrenknecht AG focused on the company’s growth plans in India and its participation in India’s fast-growing infrastructure sector through better local operations and technology partnerships.
