Will electric wires disappear from your homes soon? Know what is Wireless Electricity technology?

We all have learned since childhood that cables, or wires, are very important for electricity. Electricity is transmitted from one place to another through these wires. Light bulbs, fans, TV, refrigerator – everything runs on electricity from wires. Although we have seen wireless mobile phone charging in recent times, that’s it! So, can you imagine electricity flowing without wires? Is it possible to send electricity through air? You may think this is a ridiculous question! But it’s actually possible.

This has been done by Finland, one of the happiest countries in the world. It is possible that this may happen in India and other countries in the future. If this happens, the hassle of traditional meters and cables in our homes will end. Finnish scientists aim to completely eliminate plugs, wires and traditional electricity connections. So, let us know how Finland did all this.

Electricity was sent through the air!
Finnish scientists have sent electricity through the air without using cables (wires). According to Helsinki University, for this experiment they combined high-intensity sound waves and laser. They used a combination of ultrasonic sound waves, lasers and radio frequencies. This huge success in Finland shows that electricity can flow without plugs or cables. Researchers have created a “proof-of-concept” that can wirelessly charge devices anywhere. Teams from Helsinki University and Oulu University conducted this experiment, which was successful. He worked closely with private companies on “power-by-light” and “radio-frequency harvesting” technologies. This project is a great combination of physics and engineering.

How are invisible paths formed in the air?

Acoustic wiring actually uses high-intensity ultrasonic sound waves to guide electricity. It creates such invisible paths in the air that work exactly like stars. Electrical sparks travel safely on these paths without any physical contact. This makes it possible to power electronics and smart devices wirelessly. The researchers carefully configured the ultrasonic beam and laser system to deliver the electricity.

Basically, lasers can send energy to a distant receiver, while radio-frequency harvesting converts nearby waves into electricity. Ultrasonic waves change the density of air in such a way that tiny electrical sparks can travel on precise paths. Meanwhile, lasers convert light into very small amounts of electricity that can be sent safely. All these technologies together make it possible for electricity to travel safely and efficiently through the air. Although wireless charging technology for mobile phones already exists, Finland has achieved a remarkable feat by safely transmitting real electricity through the air. The use of sound, light and radio waves together on such a large scale is truly unique.
