Bhubaneswar, November 1 (IANS). On the occasion of Bhoomi Pujan and groundbreaking ceremony of Compound Semiconductor Fab and ATMP Facility at Info Valley on Saturday, Archean Chemical Industries Limited, parent company of Sixem Private Limited, praised the increasing focus and vision of the Central and State Government regarding semiconductors.
Rajeev Kumar, Head of Strategy, Archean Chemical Industries Limited, described ‘semiconductor’ as one of the most difficult and technology-intensive industries in the manufacturing world.
Speaking to news agency IANS, Kumar said, “Establishing such a facility requires a long-term vision, intensive and strong policy support. This program in Odisha is the result of that effort and belief.”
He further added, “When we started this journey two years ago, we were driven by the idea of contributing to India’s semiconductor ambitions in the right way. Today’s milestone at Info Valley reflects the success of that partnership.”
Kumar praised Odisha’s proactive industrial ecosystem and the continuous support provided by the government.
Rajiv Kumar said that this project will create a strong semiconductor value chain in Eastern India, attract high-end investments and provide significant employment and skill development opportunities for the local youth.
Emphasizing his point, he said, “With this FAB and ATMP facility, Odisha is poised to play a key role in India’s semiconductor growth story.”
Ranjit Pendurthi, Managing Director, Archean Chemical Industries Limited, said, “This occasion is a significant moment not only for our company but also for the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.”
