New Delhi, December 18 (IANS). After the huge crisis in Indigo Airlines last few weeks, in which thousands of flights were canceled and passengers had to face great difficulties, Indigo Airlines CEO Peter Elbers has given a message to the employees. In this he has praised the employees for standing together in this difficult period.
In the video message, he said, “The worst is over. As IndiGo employees, we have stood united and faced these difficult times with unwavering support for each other. Thank you to all our pilots, cabin crew, airport staff, customer service and all support departments.”
Albers said the airline had resumed 2,200 flights on Thursday. He acknowledged that the past two weeks had been “very challenging.” He said we must now focus on three important things: resilience, the cause of the problem and reconstruction. He said the main objective of the airline now is to strengthen its operational processes, so that operations remain stable during bad weather conditions and upcoming crises.
He further said that the problems that have arisen appear to be due to a combined effect of several factors. For this, an external aviation expert has been appointed, who will investigate the entire matter and reach its root.
The CEO also said that he would personally travel across the airlines’ network and meet the employees to learn about their experiences. He believes that Indigo can be further improved through root cause analysis and employee feedback.
“These three days (3-5 December 2025) will not allow us to redefine what we have achieved in the last 19 years,” he said. IndiGo has so far served more than 85 crore passengers with 65,000 employees. He also said that IndiGo has connected the most remote areas across the country and has left no stone unturned in its safety record.
He said, “IndiGo will continue to serve passengers with the same objectives on which the company was built – reliability, accessibility, discipline and a customer-centric approach. Now recovering from the bad situation, IndiGo will again spread its wings and move ahead.”
