Apple has confirmed the dates for the Worldwide Developers Conference 2026. The conference begins on June 8, with the keynote at 10:00 am PDT (10:30 pm IST). The WWDC 2026 event will last for five days and will end on June 12. The company said on its official website that at WWDC 2026, developers will come together to learn and understand the tools, frameworks and technologies needed to create new experiences on Apple’s platform. The company said it has invited more than 1,000 developers, designers and students to attend the event.
One thing to be noted here is that this will be Tim Cook’s last WWDC as Apple CEO, as John Turns will replace him on September 1. Apple may have a lot going for it to make this event really special. The WWDC 2026 keynote begins on June 8, and you can watch it live via the company’s website, the Apple TV app, and Apple’s YouTube channel.
What to expect from Apple WWDC 2026?
Last year, Apple’s “Liquid Glass” theme for iOS 26 was the main topic of discussion at WWDC 2025, and the year before that, “Apple Intelligence” was in the headlines. This year, an improved Siri is expected to be the main attraction. The company is working hard on Siri and may introduce a Gemini-powered version of this virtual assistant during this conference. The new Siri is expected to have many new features and may become a chatbot-like interface like ChatGPT.
Note that this new version of Siri will be part of iOS 27, which is expected to be previewed during WWDC 2026. Although major changes to the design are unlikely, you can still expect some minor changes and improvements to the user interface. Apart from iOS 27, the company is also expected to release macOS 27, iPadOS 27, visionOS 27 and other software updates.
