Where can I find this new feature?
This amazing YouTube feature is currently only available on select videos. An “Ask” button appears with a new Gemini icon in some videos. This button is located just below the video, between the “Share” and “Download” options. This feature is available on all platforms: Android, iPhone and Windows PC.

Tapping the “Ask” button opens a chat-like interface. Here, you can type your question or choose from suggested options, such as “Summarize the video”, “Suggest content related to this video”, or “Provide more information”. YouTube generates instant responses based on the options you select. The entire process is powered by Google’s Large Language Model, or Gemini AI, which extracts information about the video and displays it on your screen in a matter of seconds. The feature is currently available for both premium and non-premium users. However, it only works in English. Users under 18 years of age will not be able to use this feature. The feature is available to users in the US, Canada and New Zealand, including India. This facility will soon be available in other countries also.
