When Zomato founder Deependra Goyal appeared on ‘The Figuring Out’ podcast, the conversation focused on entrepreneurship, marketing and business, but the discussion on social media quickly turned into something else. Onlookers noticed a small silver device near his eye, and questions arose… what is it?
What is ‘Temple’ and why is it special?
The name of this device is Temple, which is an experimental health-tech wearable. Its purpose is to measure blood flow in the brain in real-time, which until now was beyond the reach of common wearable technology. Deependra Goyal had hinted about it for the first time in December 2025. On LinkedIn, he explained that the device is related to his ‘Gravity Aging Hypothesis’ research, which tries to understand the relationship between aging, neurology and gravity.
The secret of brain, stress and longevity?
According to Goyal, blood flow in the brain is already considered an important biomarker for age, memory and thinking ability. Devices like Temple can provide insight into focus, stress, sleep, and mental fatigue in the context of everyday life. It is a lightweight, everyday wearable device, and there are indications that it will have AI-based data analysis. However, there is no official information yet about the launch date, price or regulatory approval. This is the first time that a food-tech entrepreneur is quietly entering the world of health-tech and deep-tech. Temple shows that India’s startup leaders are now looking at human health and aging from a new perspective beyond just business.
