Rajouri: Terrorists have attacked an army camp in Rajouri’s Khwas area. The terrorists have fired indiscriminately at the army camp. Hearing the gunfire, the villagers also came out of their houses. There are reports of some army personnel being injured in the terrorist attack. The army and police have cordoned off the area from all sides. Rajouri SSP and the police’s SOG i.e. Special Operations Group team have reached the spot.
News agency ANI reported, quoting the Public Relations Officer of the Defense Department Jammu, that the attack in a remote village of Rajouri has been foiled. At present, the encounter with the terrorists is going on. According to news agency PTI, security forces launched a cordon and search operation after suspected terrorists opened fire on a security post in Gundha area of Rajouri in the early hours of Monday.
Citing official sources, the report said that the firing took place around 4 am, after which the security personnel retaliated.
