Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has created a new history in the assembly. The briefcase used by the CM to present the budget is not made of leather or jute but is made from cow dung by-product. The briefcase used by the Chief Minister for the budget has been made from cow dung powder, made by Nomin Pal, Didi of the women’s self-help group. Chhattisgarh has become the first state in the country to use a briefcase made of cow-dhan as a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi. The briefcase has ‘Gomay Vasate Lakshmi’ written on it.
The sisters of “Ek Pahal” women’s self-help group working in Gokuldham Gothan, Municipal Corporation, Raipur, have made this briefcase using cow dung and other products. In this briefcase, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has presented the budget in the assembly on Wednesday. The specialty of this briefcase is that it has been prepared after 10 days of hard work by applying a mixture of cow dung powder, chuna powder, maida wood and guar gum layer by layer. The handle and corner of this specially designed briefcase have been made by Bastar Art Artisans by the group of Kondagaon district.

In Chhattisgarh, it is believed that cow dung is a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi. In the Teej festivals of Chhattisgarh, it is a tradition to cover the houses with cow dung. Taking inspiration from this, the Gomay Briefcase has been made by the sisters of Self Help Groups, so that from this briefcase in the hands of the Chief Minister, Lakshmi enters every house of Chhattisgarh in the form of budget and every citizen of Chhattisgarh can become financially empowered. Godhan Nyay Yojana of Chhattisgarh has made a different identity in the whole country. Earlier no one had even imagined that any material could be prepared from cow dung.
Economic revolution in Chhattisgarh due to cow dung
With the concept of Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has presented cow dung as the economic revolution of Chhattisgarh. It has also been praised by the Prime Minister and the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture. 10,591 Gothans have been approved in Chhattisgarh due to the economic revolution of cow justice. Of these, the construction of 8,048 Gothans has been completed. 2,800 Gothans of the state have become self-supporting.
