A top US lawmaker has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts to make peace between the US and Russia on Ukraine. Maloney, who chairs the powerful Oversight Committee of the House, is one of the most senior Democrats in the US Congress. She has been elected to the US House of Representatives since 1993. Maloney is also a friend of India and Indian Americans in and outside Congress.
