The Uttar Pradesh government has said this in response to the notice of the Supreme Court. On behalf of the families of the deceased farmers, the bail of Ashish Mishra has been opposed by filing an application in the Supreme Court. On this, the court had issued a notice to the UP government, in response to which the UP government has said this. Apart from this, the UP government also rejected the allegations of the family members of the farmers that VIPs were allowed to go and only the witnesses were not protected.
The Uttar Pradesh government has given this answer in response to the application of the family members of the farmers. The UP government said, ‘The allegation that the UP government did not oppose the bail of Ashish Mishra in the Allahabad High Court is completely false. His bail application was strongly opposed by the UP government. Apart from this, the government has also rejected the allegations of attack on a witness in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. The UP government said that the attack on the witness was not a conspiracy, but due to mutual enmity.
Yogi government said – full security is being given to the witnesses
Not only this, the government has also rejected the fact that the attackers had threatened the witnesses that now the BJP government has returned in UP and now they will be seen. Yogi Sarkar said, ‘Full security is being given to the families and witnesses of the victims of the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. Armed security personnel have also been given by the government to the witnesses. The UP government told the apex court that the security of the witnesses has been continuously reviewed. They were talked to a few days back also and they have expressed satisfaction about the security arrangements.
Supreme Court to hear against Bell on Wednesday
Significantly, the bench of Chief Justice NV Ramanna, Justice Surya Kant and Justice Hima Kohli will hear the application seeking quashing of bail of Ashish Mishra on Wednesday. On behalf of the Allahabad High Court bench, Ashish Mishra was granted bail in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident in the midst of the UP assembly elections. On this, farmers’ organizations had raised objections and said that this decision would be challenged in the Supreme Court.
