Delhi Triple Murder: Due to domestic dispute in Shakurpur area of Delhi, property dealer opened fire indiscriminately killing wife and two years. Netaji Subhash Place police station has arrested the accused and taken possession of the licensed revolver used in the crime. The incident happened late Sunday night.
According to the police, 45-year-old Hitendra Yadav lives with his wife Seema and two children Jai and Vijay (Honey) in Shakurpur village. Jai has taken admission in MBBS, while Honey is a student of class X in a well-known school located in Ashok Vihar. Hitendra, a property dealer by profession, has a four-storey house in Shakurpur village, on which he lives with his family on the fourth floor. The rent of lakhs of rupees comes from other parts of this house and other properties in the village.
Seema’s mother Chandraprabha told that in the year 2001, the daughter was married to Hitendra, but after the marriage, there was a dispute between the two. Panchayats were held several times between the two families regarding this. Due to the complaint filed with the police on behalf of Seema, the matter reached the police station. However, each time the matter was hushed up due to compromise.
A senior police officer said that on Sunday, a dispute started between Hitendra and Seema over making pulses spoiled. It is said that Hitendra came home after drinking alcohol and asked Seema to serve food. He did not like the taste of lentils and on this matter both of them got into a fight. Then the matter escalated so much that Seema called her brothers home after informing them about the incident. The police officer said that one of Seema’s brothers along with Vijay family lived in Gurugram and his younger brother Surendra Mahavir lived in Enclave. On receiving the information, Vijay reached his sister’s house along with his wife Babita, brother, mother Chandraprabha and brother-in-law Chandrakant. Apart from this, relatives in two other vehicles were also waiting outside after reaching home till around ten o’clock.
The matter worsened after slapping the son: It is being told that Seema had called her parents many times in mutual disputes. Seeing this, Hitendra also called his friend Lalit. When Lalit reached around 11 pm, Vijay objected to him calling him an outsider. On this Hitendra and his elder son Jai protested against being called an outsider. Seema then slaps Jai, after which her brother Vijay started beating her. Seeing his son being beaten up, Hitendra tried to rescue him, but both the brothers attacked him. On this Hitendra went to his bedroom and took out the revolver from the cupboard and started firing.
Babita, who came to save her husband, was shot in the leg: When an enraged Hitendra pointed a revolver at his brother-in-law Vijay, Babita intervened to save her husband. At first Hitendra asked her to leave, but when she did not agree, he shot her in the leg. Then shot four bullets in the head and chest of both the years. On the other hand, seeing the firing, Babita’s brother Chandrakant locked himself in a room.
Hitendra ran down quickly after shooting both the years. Both the children and Lalit also ran after him. He then returned and shot his wife Seema in the head. He then tried to shoot himself, but his life was saved as the revolver was empty. Then the children snatched the revolver and threw it under the bed. After this, Lalit called the police and informed about the incident.
The police reached the spot and admitted the injured to Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital, but all three siblings had died. At the same time, Babita’s condition was stable. The postmortem of the injured was done at BSA Hospital.
