Ateeq Ahmed, Mandideep. In the works dominated by men, women have proved that they are no less than anyone. They are working shoulder to shoulder with men in every field. 12 thousand women working in industrial area Mandideep on International Women’s Day is a big example of this. In about 650 units here, the share of women employees is about 15 to 20 percent i.e. 12 thousand out of 60 thousand. Their largest share is in Hakai, Maxon, Nahar, Vardhman and other yarn mills. Here the number of women in these companies is more than 50 percent as compared to men. Women in the age group of 18 to 50 years work in these factories. Most of the women are tenth pass, but after taking special training, they are working from taffy to cloth making. Many women are in charge of running the machines as well as handling the sales production and management. These women are performing all the responsibilities from quality control to quality checking and packing in these factories. Not only in the production line, but from HR to accounts and management. In this way, women are working hard not only to maintain the family, but are also playing an important role in promoting the women empowerment scheme of the government.
Ashish Grover, director of Hakai Company, says that 90 percent of the women work in our organization. S Patel, director of Vardhman Group, says that women are more hardworking and dedicated. Association of All Industries President Dr. Rajeev Agrawal says that in more than 650 factories of the area, the share of women is about 20 percent. Vishwajit Singh, HR head of the denim garments company, says that the company has more than 300 women employees, who are involved in everything from production to quality control and sales.
A glimpse of women’s empowerment is visible here too
The status of women has increased in the industrial units of the city as well as in the field of education and banking. Here she is not only in large numbers, but is also leading the institute. There are more than 700 women teachers in 404 and 15 high and 14 higher secondary schools of the block from I to VIII. They have 70 percent more numbers than men. Out of these 29 high and higher secondary schools, women are working as the head of the institution in 18.
