Senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Saturday slammed West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee. He even said that if there was no Congress then people like Mamata Banerjee would not have been born. They should remember this. Adhir Ranjan said, “Why are you commenting against Congress? If Congress was not there then people like Mamata Banerjee would not have been born. They should remember this. She went to Goa to please BJP, she defeated Congress. You weakened the Congress in Goa, everyone knows this.”
The Congress leader accused Mamata Banerjee of working as an agent of the BJP. Adhir Ranjan said, “She (Mamata Banerjee) is saying this to please the BJP and act as an agent of the BJP. She says such things to stay relevant. It is right to reply to a madman. No, Congress has 700 MLAs all over India. Didi has it? Congress has 20% of the opposition’s total vote share. Do they have?”
Mamta had said – there is no point in keeping Congress together
In fact, after the BJP’s victory in four states in the assembly elections, Mamata has intensified efforts to reach out to regional parties for an anti-BJP alliance. In this regard, he had said on Friday that there was no point in keeping the Congress together as it was no longer there. Banerjee said, “I think all political parties willing to take on the BJP should work together. There is no point in relying on Congress.
Mamta said – Congress is no longer interested in winning
Mamata said that the Congress used to win earlier because it had the organisation. But now, now she is losing everywhere. He doesn’t seem to have any interest (in winning) now. His credibility is gone. Banerjee also said that there are many strong regional parties and they will be more effective by coming together.
