Operation Ganga has reached its final stage to rescue the Indians trapped in Ukraine. Indian Embassy gave this information. The embassy has urged the remaining students to reach the Hungarian capital Budapest. Earlier, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine has asked Indians in Ukraine to contact them on an “immediate basis” with their mobile number and location.
The Indian Embassy in Hungary has made an important announcement by tweeting. It said, “The Indian Embassy today commenced its final phase of Operation Ganga Udaan. All students residing in their own accommodation (other than those arranged by the Embassy) are requested to visit Hungary, Rakozy UT 90 (Budapest). I will reach between 10 am to 12 noon.”
Let us tell you that Hungary shares its border with war-torn Ukraine and till now thousands of Indians have been brought to India through this country. The Embassy of India has set up a control room in Budapest (Hungary) to coordinate the evacuation of Indians stranded in Ukraine. Eleven more special flights are expected to operate on Sunday from Budapest, Kosice, Réjoy and Bucharest to bring back more than 2,200 Indians.
Rajiv Bodwade, Deputy Chief of the Embassy of India in Israel, has also been posted on special duty. He said, “We have teams on the Hungarian-Ukraine border informing us about how many Indians are crossing the border, other teams looking after accommodation, transportation etc. More than 150 volunteers are helping us. are.”
