The meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is being held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is attending this meeting as a special guest. Pakistan PM Imran Khan has addressed this meeting. During this, he has also talked about OIC.
We are scattered within ourselves: Imran Khan
Imran Khan has raised the issue of Palestine and Kashmir and said that we have been unsuccessful on these issues. I have to say with sadness that we have not been able to leave any impact on these issues so far. Powerful countries of the world do not take us seriously. We are scattered within ourselves and they know this.
Imran said, no one listens to our voice
Imran Khan has said that our population is 150 crores but no one is listening to our voice. We are only talking about the common people and human rights of Kashmir and Palestine. The rules of international institutions are in favor of those people. Organizations like the United Nations are in support of their rights. These organizations want a plebiscite so that the people there can choose their own future, but these rights have not been given to them yet.
‘Need to come together on fundamental issues’
Imran Khan has further said that instead of giving rights, their rights are being taken away. India illegally abolished the special rights of Kashmiris on 5 August 2019. Nothing happened because they didn’t feel any pressure. He feels that he can move forward by simply passing any resolution.
Imran Khan from OIC countries has said that I am not talking about reshuffle in foreign policy. We all have different foreign policy but we all need to come together on fundamental issues.
