Keeping in view the convenience and crowd of people on Holi, Railways will run clone trains. These trains will be run on the route on which seats will be full in the special train. At present, it has been announced to run special trains from Delhi to different cities of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar including Patna, Prayagraj, Gaya. Holi special train is being run from March 10 to March 30. Apart from this, some additional trains and reserve trains are also planned to be run if needed.
According to Northern Railway officials, till now 27 pairs of Holi special trains have been announced from different places. Out of these, about 17 pairs of trains will be run from different railway stations of Delhi, Anand Vihar Terminal, New Delhi and Old Delhi Railway Station. The movement of these trains is being ensured on the platforms around the entry gates at the stations, which will help in keeping the crowd under control.

Railway Protection Force has beefed up security around the stations in view of the Holi rush. Barricading has been done on the thieves roads leading to the stations. Sniffer dogs are patrolling the platform. The station premises are being monitored 24 hours by CCTV. Announcements are being made continuously to ensure that autos and cabs do not get jammed outside the gate. A control room has been set up at major stations, in which employees of mechanical, commercial, electric and other branches are deployed, so that real time action can be taken on receipt of complaints.
