This farmer became rich by cultivating red ladyfinger, know how farming is done

This means that Mishrilal Rajput is getting Rs 800 per kg of red ladyfinger in the market. Mishrilal Lal had gone to Banaras for training in okra cultivation. There he learned to cultivate red okra at the Indian Institute of Vegetable Research Centre. It is noteworthy that earlier this type of lady’s finger was cultivated in European countries and imported to Indian markets.

Regarding the process of cultivation, Mishrilal Rajput said that he had brought 1 kg of seed from the Agricultural Research Institute, which cost around Rs 2400. He said that after returning from Banaras he decided to cultivate red ladyfinger in his garden. He sowed the crop in the first week of July and bhindi production started in about 40 days. “Minimum 40-50 quintals and maximum 70-80 quintals of ladyfinger are produced on one acre of land. No harmful pesticides have been used in the cultivation of red ladyfingers,” said Mishrilal Rajput.

The price of red ladyfinger is high in the market because people like it very much. People say that it tastes good to eat. Mishrilal Rajput said that red ladyfinger is more beneficial and nutritious than green ladyfinger.
