A bilateral meeting was held between Tianjin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, in which the two leaders reiterated the strength of India-Russia partnership.
The Ukraine conflict was also discussed during the conversation of the two leaders. Prime Minister Modi said that this struggle should be abolished soon and the path of permanent peace should be found. Describing the meeting with Putin as memorable, he said that in December we will wait for the visit of President Putin in India.
Modi emphasized that India and Russia have always supported each other even in the most difficult situations and the cooperation of the two countries is important for global peace. At the same time, President Putin said that Russia-India relations are based on trust and principles and this relationship is beyond politics. He said that today’s meeting is a good opportunity to make our relationships stronger.
