Musk said Tesla may launch a trial version of its new “full self-driving” software in Europe. Self-driving is hard enough in Europe. Musk had hoped to start production from the factory eight months ago, but delays in licensing and local concerns about the plant’s environmental impact put the process on hold. Tesla said new owners got the Model Y performance configuration, priced at 63,990 euros ($70,500), with a range of 514 km (320 mi). Tesla said that about 3,500 of the plant’s potential 12,000 employees have been hired so far.
