China, famous for its modern and amazing engineering, has once again surprised the world. The building named ‘The Crystal’ built in Chongqing city of China is considered to be the world’s largest and tallest horizontal skyscraper. This unique structure rests in the air at a height of about 250 meters from the ground and connects four huge towers located below.
The project was completed at a cost of Rs 9 thousand crores
This magnificent project located at the confluence of Yangtze and Jialing rivers has cost more than Rs 9 thousand crores to build. 3,000 glass panels and 5,000 aluminum parts were used to prepare it. This 300 meter long skyscraper was prepared on the ground in seven parts and then lifted up and connected to the towers with the help of hydraulics technology.
The structure is as heavy as the Eiffel Tower
The weight of the steel frame of this building is said to be about 12,000 tons, which is equal to the famous Eiffel Tower of France. Engineers have designed it in such a way that it can easily withstand natural challenges like strong winds and earthquakes.
There is a luxurious entertainment world inside
‘The Crystal’ is not just a skybridge, but also a magnificent center of entertainment and luxury. The glass ‘Exploration Deck’ built here shows a wonderful view of the entire city to the tourists. Apart from this, rooftop garden, restaurant, bar, private club and huge swimming pool are also its specialties.
