The Bahrain government has taken a big and strict step regarding the security of the country. On March 14, 2026, Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior has arrested 6 people, who are accused of sharing videos of Iran’s recent missile and drone attacks on social media. The name of Bahrain’s national football team’s famous player Ahmed Mirza Musa (35 years) is also included in these arrested people. According to the police, this action has been taken on charges of spreading false news in the country and helping the enemies.

What are the main allegations against these 6 people?

Many serious charges have been leveled against the arrested people. According to the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate, these people had recently made and shared a video of the attack in Sitra area, in which 32 people were injured.

Glorifying and sympathizing with Iran’s attacks. Giving information to the enemies by making videos of important locations and sensitive places. Creating an atmosphere of fear among the general public and spreading false news. Harming national security and law and order.

Officials say that by posting such videos on social media, the attacking countries come to know how much impact their attack has had. Therefore this work is considered to be directly helping the enemies. All these 6 accused have now been handed over to Public Prosecution.

Home Ministry’s new rule and strict warning

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior (MOI) has issued strict rules for all citizens and expatriates living in the country. The government has clearly said that making video of any sensitive area or government property is a crime. Whoever does this will be considered helpful in the attack against the country and strict legal action will be taken against him.

Security officials have also ordered that any information related to the attack or the country’s security should be obtained only from official sources. All people working or living in Bahrain must strictly follow this rule. The Home Ministry has clarified that anyone who betrays the country or cooperates in the attacks against Bahrain will be given strict punishment as per the law.
