US White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewit said US President Donald Trump has refused to send US soldiers to Ukraine under security guarantee. Lavit said during his press conference that however, other options including Akash are also open.
He said, “The President has clearly stated that American soldiers will not be deployed in Ukraine, but we can certainly help in coordination and possibly provide other means of safety guarantee to our European colleagues. The President understands that the security guarantee is extremely important to ensure permanent peace. He has also directed his national security team to coordinate with our friends and continue these cases with our friends in Europe.”
Asked if the US would provide ‘air’ service as a security option, Levitt said that it is a possibility.
He said, “This is an alternative and possibility. As far as military options are concerned with the President, I will definitely not dismiss any option. I will let them do so. I can tell you that he has rejected the possibility of deployment of soldiers at the ground level.”
When pressurized for more information about safety guarantee for Ukraine, he said, “President Trump has directed his team to create a framework for these security guarantees, which is acceptable to ensure permanent peace and help end this war.”
Asked how US President Donald Trump guarantees not spending taxpayers’ money to Ukraine, Levit said that Trump proposed to buy weapons for NATO Ukraine.
He said, “Well, the President is extremely sensitive to the needs of American taxpayers. And as soon as he took over in January, he made it clear that we would not continue a blank check for any war of far-flung war, that is why he found a very constructive solution to NATO to buy American weapons, because they are the best in the world. And then Ukrane army and Ukrainian people and their army have been the same to fulfill the needs. We will continue this even further. As far as any additional sales are concerned, I have to hand over to the Defense Department. “
Lewit said that Trump has learned a lot while resolving war crises, which includes moving the ball with diplomacy.
He said, “The President has learned a lot, which is why he started this talk. The previous administration, who started the beginning of this war, refused to negotiate and President Trump has always said that you have to have an open conversation to move the ball and take the ball forward with diplomacy and that is why the President has held several conversations on the phone and definitely held a personal meeting with President Putin on the phone.
Levit said that Russia and Ukraine have agreed to interact with each other after many years due to Trump.
He said, “He has also talked to President Zelanski dozens of times, yesterday he had called him to the White House, and he understands what the two sides want. What both sides will have to leave, and they have always said that to get a good deal, both sides will have to be a little unhappy. So they keep on learn during these conversations. When it comes to moving forward, see how both Russia and Ukraine have really talked directly in many years thanks to the efforts of this President and this administration. “
Lewitt said that the US is getting respect on the world stage by Trump’s peace on several occasions. He once again falsely accused India and Pakistan of creating a peace agreement to Trump. He said, “Russia and all the countries of the world really respect the United States once again, and the President is using American strength demanding that honor from our colleagues, friends, opponents around the world.”
He said, “And we have seen that it has not only progressed with Russia and Ukraine, but also the end of seven global conflicts around the world. We have seen it as the release of hostages in Gaza.
Lewitt said that the US is ready to help Russia and Ukraine sit and interact.
He said, “Look, the President has spoken to the two leaders about this and the two leaders have expressed their desire to sit and interact with each other. Our national security team will help both countries to do so. Ultimately, the President has always said that the President has always said that there are some areas of disagreement in this war that both countries will have to discuss and decide. Therefore, they want that both countries want to be involved in diplomacy. Zelansky and President Putin agree with the idea of meeting and I think arrangements are being made for this meeting. “
“Our national security team is currently discussing several options with both sides,” he said.
