Dubai has once again started a project that will surprise the world. The work of the world’s first ‘Gold Street’ has started in the historical Deira area. Dubai Media Office has given this information. This road will be the main part of Dubai Gold District. Real gold is being used in this which will give a stronger identity to Dubai as ‘City of Gold’.
How much gold was used to build Gold Street?
According to initial engineering reports, the length of this road has been kept at around 800 meters. About 400 kg of real gold will be used to make it. This road is not being prepared for vehicles like a normal road but as a tourist spot.
People will be able to come here to roam and get photographs taken. To strengthen the road and maintain the shine of gold, seven different layers are being applied to it. This project is expected to be completed within 12 months.
What facilities will the people coming here get?
Ithra Dubai company is making this entire project. There will be more than 1000 retail shops here. Big jewelery company Joyalukkas is building its largest showroom in the Middle East here. Which will be around 24,000 square feet.
For the convenience of blind people, gold tactile strips have been installed on the road which will make it easier for them to walk. The latest gold prices can also be seen live on the digital pillars installed here. This project is an important part of Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
