Now the possibility of ending war with Gaza seems to be very rare. Israel attacked Qatar’s capital Doha, where Hamas’s team was talking on the new ceasefire scheme of America. Six people died in this attack, but Hamas’s top leadership survived. It is clear that Prime Minister Netanyahu is insisting on completely eliminating Hamas than the conversation. The families of hostages in Israel have expressed concern that it may have an impact on the hostages.
US President Donald Trump also expressed resentment and said that Netanyahu carried out the attack alone. Qatar is a small but very rich country and is a big ally of America, here is also the largest military base in America. Qatar has described this attack as a violation of international law. But Netanyahu called it a direct counter -attack on the Hamas leaders, as six Israeli were killed in a recent firing in Jerusalem and four soldiers were killed in an attack on an army camp in Gaza. According to the United Nations charter, attacking another country without approval is considered a violation of aggression and sovereignty. Israel has been carrying out such attacks on many countries – Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iraq for the last two years.
The attack took place at a time when three major incidents are happening simultaneously-first, a large operation of the Israeli army in Gaza, where people are facing starvation. Second, increasing protests within Israel, which are demanding ending war and release of hostages. Third, a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, where many western countries are going to recognize Palestine. In the midst of all this, the attack on Qatar shows that Netanyahu’s government is neither cares about international opinion nor protested within his country. Their main objective seems to continue the war and spread it to new fronts.
