India stopped speaking of Pakistan in UN, said- ‘This country drops bomb on its own people’

India once again blown up the hollow claims of Pakistan during the debate on women, peace and security in the United Nations. India’s permanent representative, Parvathaneni Harish criticized Pakistan’s “confused attacks” against India, especially Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking in a UN Security Council debate, Ambassador Harish highlighted how Pakistan conducted an operation search in 1971, in which 4,00,000 women were massacred and gang -raped by Pakistan’s own army.

He emphasized how the world understands the propaganda of Pakistan and said that Pakistan distracts the attention of the world through exaggeration.

He said, “Unfortunately, every year we get to hear the misleading things of Pakistan against our country, especially on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian territory on which they lure. Our leading record on women, peace and security agenda is immaculate and intact. A country that bombs its own people, can only try to dominate the world.

The Indian Ambassador said, “This is the country that conducted Operation Searchlight in 1971 and approved a systematic campaign of massacre and gang rape of 400,000 women citizens by its own army. The world understands the propaganda of Pakistan.”

India’s response came on counselor Syima Salim’s comment, which is part of Pakistan’s permanent mission in the United Nations.

The United Nations Security Council debate on women’s peace and security, resolution, was held to commemorate the completion of 25 years of 1325. This United Nations resolution was adopted in the year 2000 and marked the uneven and unique impact of armed conflict on women and girls.

The proposal mainly focuses on the prevention of any violation of women’s rights, especially during conflicts. Earlier in September, in his address at the United Nations General Assembly, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attacked Pakistan without naming it.

He said, “India has been facing this challenge since independence, because its neighboring country is the center of global terrorism. For decades, the same country has been held responsible for the major international terrorist attacks.”

On the issue of Pakistan and terrorism, he had said, “When the nations openly declare terrorism a state policy, when terrorists are operated on an industrial scale, when terrorists are publicly glorified, such actions should be clearly condemned. Those who support the nations that sponsor terrorism will know that they will harm them.”
