Indian student from Hyderabad shot dead in America, attacker still absconding; family in shock

A 26-year-old Indian student was shot dead in the United States on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Koyyada Ravi Teja, a resident of Hyderabad. Family members said that miscreants shot him last night on Washington Avenue in America, due to which he died on the spot.

Ravi’s father Chandra Moli said that we have received information this morning itself that when Teja was returning to his home in the night, unknown people opened fire on him. Teja died on the spot due to bullet injury. We don’t have more information than this right now.

Ravi Teja, after completing his graduation in India, went to America in 2022 to do post graduation. After completing his studies, he was continuously searching for a job by giving interviews there. While talking to the media, a friend of Teja said that such a day should not be in anyone’s fate. He went to America with great expectations and now look how he is returning.

This is not the first time that an Indian has been shot dead in America. Just a few weeks ago, another Indian student from Telangana was also shot dead near a gas station in Chicago. He used to work at a gas station to meet his expenses in America. Some attackers who came there ended his life.
