Along with this, an appeal has been made to the common citizens to immediately vacate the areas around the American base and commercial port so that they do not suffer any harm.
At which places is there danger and what are the orders?
The IRGC and Khatam al-Anbiya Command have clarified that all US military bases, ports and docks in the UAE are their targets. An alert has been issued for the safety of citizens asking them to stay away from these places. In view of the situation, emergency teams have been deployed in Dubai and Abu Dhabi around the Waterfront and Sheikh Zayed Road. Iran has also said that if its oil infrastructure is attacked, it will also destroy the energy facilities of regional companies supporting America.
What was the impact on flights and ports?
This huge tension has had a direct impact on the travel of common people and the expatriates living in the Gulf. Keeping security in mind, major airlines like Air Canada and British Airways have suspended their flights to Dubai and other regional airports till May 1. At the same time, oil loading work at Fujairah (UAE) and Sohar (Oman) ports has been temporarily stopped due to drone activities and fire caused by debris.
What do UAE and America say?
According to US President Trump, the US has targeted only military and air defense bases on Kharg Island and has left the oil fields for now. On the other hand, the Defense Ministry of UAE has informed that their air defense system is continuously stopping missiles and drones. The ministry has appealed to all residents not to share videos of the incidents or misleading information on social media.
