Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport has prepared its new operational plan for the Umrah season 1447 AH. The main objective of this scheme is to handle the crowd of Umrah pilgrims and make their journey easier. This time the airport administration has significantly increased the facilities so that passengers take minimum time for passport control and baggage collection. Under Saudi Vision 2030, this entire plan will be implemented in collaboration with 27 different departments.
Special arrangements made for passengers at the airport
For the convenience of passengers, more than 10,000 employees will be deployed at the airport who will provide 24-hour service. 3 main terminals will remain operational for passengers and the number of passport counters has been increased to 463. 407 carousels and 35 conveyor belts have been kept ready for the convenience of luggage. Apart from this, 4 health centres, 3 welcome lounges and 20 air-conditioned rest areas have also been created for the passengers so that no one faces any problem during the journey.

Fines and necessary apps for violation of rules
It will be mandatory for Umrah pilgrims to use Nusuk app. Through this app, Umrah permit and Namaz timings in Rauza Sharif can be booked. Those who are planning to visit Saudi Arabia need to note that overstaying the visa can be costly. According to the rules, overstaying can result in a fine of up to 50,000 riyals and a ban on entry into Saudi Arabia for the future. This strict rule is in place so that timely arrangements can be made for the preparations for Haj.
