Kuwait’s army has successfully foiled missile and drone attacks in different parts of the country. The General Staff of the Army issued an official statement saying that the air defense system eliminated these attacks in the air on Friday. After this incident, warning sirens were sounded across the country and citizens have been instructed to remain safe.

What is the situation in Kuwait after the attack?
According to the Kuwait Army, the explosions heard in the sky were actually caused by air defense units intercepting the missiles. In view of the second wave of attacks, security arrangements have been further tightened.
Mina Al-Ahmadi oil refinery was targeted by drones, causing a fire. As a safety precaution, some parts of the refinery were immediately closed so that the damage could be reduced. It is a matter of relief that till now there has been no news of any loss of life or injury in these attacks. The administration has appealed to all migrants and citizens not to panic and only follow official instructions.

Amid regional tension, apart from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and UAE have also foiled attacks on themselves. Iran has described these attacks as a response to military operations, which can have a direct impact on the safety of Indians working in the Gulf and oil prices.
