Oman Tourism Update: Oman launches new digital portal for tourists, hotel and flight booking becomes easier

Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has launched a new digital platform for the convenience of tourists on 11 February 2026. This platform is part of the ‘Experience Oman’ website and through this, travelers will now be able to make all their travel bookings from one place. This includes facilities ranging from flights to hotels and vehicles for sightseeing. The aim of the government is to provide convenience to both small and big passengers.

What features are available on the platform?

At the time of launch, 56 tourism packages and more than 350 different experiences were made available on this portal. It includes more than 200 service providers and 140 hotels that are licensed. This is especially beneficial for those who are coming to Muscat for the IRONMAN 70.3 Championships. On booking here, you get instant confirmation and payment is also done easily online.

How much is the fare and what are the rules?

The price of these packages is not fixed in advance and it varies according to the features. A day tour usually costs between 80 to 130 dollars (USD). Whereas if someone takes a group package of 7 to 8 days, then its price can be around 1900 dollars. The government has also made strict safety rules for adventure tourism operators which need to be followed. Only those companies can provide their services here which have a valid license.
