A very tragic incident happened on Wednesday in the Norte de Ecuador area of Colombia. Here a small passenger plane of government airline Satena crashed shortly after take off. A total of 15 people including the MP have died in this accident. Apart from this, an Air Force plane fell in Thailand on Thursday, in which two pilots lost their lives. Investigation has been started after these accidents in both the countries.
Contact was lost after 12 minutes
The plane took off from Cúcuta’s Camilo Daza Airport for Ocaña at 11:42 am. It lost contact with radar at 11:54, about 12 minutes after takeoff. The wreckage of the plane was found in the mountainous area of Playa de Belén near the Venezuelan border. According to officials, the pilot may have had difficulty seeing due to dense fog, which led to the accident. The emergency beacon of the plane also did not work at the time of the accident. The dead included MP Diogenes Quintero Amaya and leader Carlos Salcedo.
Plane fell during training in Thailand
On Thursday, the next day after the Colombia accident, a plane also crashed in Thailand. There a training aircraft of the Royal Thai Air Force fell about 60 kilometers from Chiang Mai. The accident occurred around 10:30 am when the aircraft was on a rescue training mission. In this accident both the pilots died on the spot. This aircraft was the Beechcraft AT-6TH Wolverine which had recently been inducted into the army.
