Poland PM Warning: Situation worsened in the Middle East, Poland ordered its citizens to leave Iran immediately

Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk has issued a very important message on 19 February 2026. He has appealed to all Polish citizens present in Iran to leave the country immediately. This warning has been given in view of the rapidly deteriorating security situation in the Middle East and the possibility of a major military conflict. The Prime Minister has clearly said that staying there is no longer without danger and people should leave without any delay.

Why was this warning issued?

Prime Minister Tusk said that there is very little time left to escape safely and the situation is changing rapidly. He expressed apprehension that formal evacuation might not be possible within a few hours. The main reason for this is the fear of military intervention by America in the region or increasing Israel-Iran conflict. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland (MSZ) has raised the travel warning to the highest level and strongly advises against traveling to Iran under any circumstances.

What are the instructions for the people trapped there?

The Polish government has issued some strict instructions for the safety of its citizens:

Citizens have been asked to register immediately in the ‘Odyseusz’ system so that help can reach them. People have been advised to evacuate immediately by any available commercial flight or road route. The Ministry of External Affairs has made it clear that due to the worsening security situation, it may be very difficult to get help from the embassy.

Impact on common passengers and flights

The effect of this increasing tension can also be seen on flights in the Persian Gulf. Experts believe that there could be a major disruption in civil aviation service. Flights passing through the area may be delayed, canceled or diverted. This news is also a signal for other foreign nationals living in the Gulf and those traveling from there to remain alert, as there is a danger of the airspace being closed.
