Preparation to eradicate diseases in UAE, big agreement signed between GLIDE and UAE University

The Global Institute for Disease Elimination (GLIDE) and the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in Abu Dhabi have signed an important agreement. The main objective of this MOU signed on March 9, 2026 is to completely eliminate infectious diseases. Under this, emphasis will be laid on research, training and sharing of information so that health related problems of common people can be solved.

What is the main focus of this agreement?

Under this agreement, both the institutions will mainly work on research on infectious diseases and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Its benefits will be available not only at the regional level but also to people all over the world. This research will be directly used to improve policies related to public health.
