Qatar Airways has announced limited flights for 9, 10 and 11 March 2026 amid the temporary closure of airspace. This news has brought great relief to the passengers who were stranded in Doha for the last few days. The airline has clarified that this is not a complete resumption of normal flights, but flights are being operated through certain ‘operating corridors’ under special permission by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA). The airline has said that the return flights of the outbound flights will usually reach Doha the next day. For example, flights leaving on March 9 can return to Doha on March 10.
Tickets and rules for going to the airport
Qatar Airways and the airport administration have issued strict instructions that passengers should come to the airport only if they have confirmed tickets for these flights. Hamad International Airport is still closed to general traffic and only these special flights are allowed.

Refunds and Changes: For passengers whose booking was between February 28 and March 15, 2026, the airline is giving the option of free change of date within 14 days or full refund. Which passengers will get priority
In view of the current situation, the airline has clarified that the first place on these limited seats will be given to those who are with family, are elderly or who need immediate medical attention. Some flights coming from cities like London and Frankfurt are allowed to board only those passengers whose final destination is Doha. Embassies of countries like India, Australia and Spain are also in touch with the airline to help their citizens.
