Red Sea Global (RSG) has given a major update regarding tourism in Saudi Arabia. The company has said that the first phase of Red Sea and Amaala destinations will be completely ready by the end of 2026. During the PIF Private Sector Forum in Riyadh, official Greg Djerejian confirmed that a total of 27 hotels will be opened to guests by the end of this year. This project is now moving beyond construction work towards becoming fully operational.
Which hotels will open and what will be the fare?
The world’s most expensive and famous hotel brands are starting their services at these new tourist spots in Saudi Arabia. Amaala Triple Bay has started receiving guests from January 2026. Shura Island is also being prepared to welcome tourists. The fare for staying here is much higher than normal hotels because it is an ultra-luxury destination.

Rules and facilities for tourists
Some special rules and facilities have also been decided for the tourists coming here. AlWajh Airport (EJH) will reopen in 2026 with renovation and a new terminal. To save the environment, the entire project will run on 100% renewable energy i.e. solar power. Only 5 lakh tourists will be allowed to come to Amaala in a year so that the crowd does not increase. Apart from this, alcohol will not be available in the resorts here, the entire focus here will be on health and wellness.
