Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) has met with scholars, ministers and citizens at the Taiba Palace in Medina. In this meeting held on Friday, he accepted the greetings of the holy month of Ramadan and prayed for the safety of the country. Earlier, the Crown Prince visited the Prophet’s Mosque and offered prayers at Al-Rawda Al-Sharifah. Along with this, a big campaign has also been started to promote charity work across the country.
Royal donation of 7 crore riyals and Ehsan campaign
On Friday evening, King Salman and the Crown Prince launched the sixth national charity campaign through the ‘Ehsan Platform’. The royal family was the first to contribute to this noble cause:
King Salman: Gave a personal donation of 40 million riyals.
Crown Prince MBS: Contributed 30 million riyals.
Total Deposit Amount: A total of 646 million riyals were collected with the help of the public and others on the very first day of the campaign.
The Ehsan platform is monitored by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA). Dr. Majid Al-Qassabi said that the platform has completed more than 330 million transactions so far, which strengthens the culture of charity in Saudi society.
New rules and prayer times for mosques
To maintain order and peace in mosques during Ramadan, some important rules have been implemented, which both Imams and citizens will have to follow. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has ordered all employees to register full attendance.
prayer time: All mosques must strictly follow the ‘Umm Al Qura’ calendar. There will be a mandatory gap of 15 minutes between Azaan and Iqama of Isha and Fajr.
Live broadcast: Live broadcasting of Namaz on any media platform has been banned.
Iftar Rules: Group iftar can be organized only in the designated courtyard. It is completely prohibited to collect cash donations for this, it should be done only through official channels.
