Saudi Arabia and Qatar have announced major economic cooperation for reconstruction and humanitarian aid in Gaza. Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State Adel al-Jubeir has talked about a contribution of 1 billion dollars to the Board of Peace mission. Similarly, Qatar has also decided to donate a huge amount for peace and stability in Gaza. This entire process has been started at the international level to improve the conditions in Gaza.
Which countries are included in the Board of Peace and what is the plan?
Many big countries of the world have come together on one platform for the reconstruction of Gaza. The main objective of this mission is to bring life back to normal and restore basic facilities in the war-affected areas.
Countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt and Israel have been included in this board. A total of $5 billion has been pledged so far for this mission. Its first official meeting will be held on 20 February 2026 in Washington. The amount of help will be mainly used in health, education and construction of people’s houses.
