Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has expressed deep concern over the current situation in the world at the Munich Security Conference. He clearly said that the Gaza crisis has proved that the international order i.e. the global system is no longer working properly. He says that this system has completely failed in bringing justice and stability in the world and now this deficiency cannot be ignored.

What is Saudi’s view regarding the ceasefire?
Prince Faisal said during the panel discussion that the current situation cannot be considered a credible ceasefire if violence continues. He said a very important thing that ‘if the guns have not fallen silent, it is not a ceasefire.’ He believes that just talking on paper does not change the situation on the ground.
He further explained that even though the fighting has subsided slightly, the humanitarian crisis still persists. The Foreign Minister said that even though killing people has been stopped, people are still dying. His point was that even after the bombing stops, if people do not get food and medicine, they will continue to lose their lives.
Meeting with big countries of the world
During this period, the Saudi Foreign Minister held separate meetings with officials of the European Union, Britain, France and Kuwait. He stressed that it is necessary for Palestinians to get their rights and there should be unity in Gaza and the West Bank. He says that the old system will no longer work where powerful countries used to do their own thing.
He said that developing countries have been seeing for a long time that this system is failing. Now the time has come that the powerful countries of the world should come together and talk about reform. Saudi Arabia’s entire emphasis is on stopping the death toll in Gaza and restarting life there.
