Saudi Smart Helmet: Saudi introduced high-tech helmet, poisonous gas and rescue workers will work even in darkness

A very special technology has been presented to the world in the World Defense Show 2026 going on in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Civil Defense has presented its new ‘Smart Helmet’ at the Pavilion of the Ministry of Interior on 9 February. This helmet has been designed keeping in mind the safety of personnel engaged in rescue operations in case of fire or any major accident. The event was inaugurated by Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman.

What is the special technology in the helmet?

This smart helmet is being called a mobile command center. It has high-tech cameras installed for clear viewing both day and night. These cameras send live video directly to the control room, so that officers sitting outside can see the situation inside. Additionally, it is equipped with special sensors that instantly detect poisonous gases and dangerous chemicals. With this, rescue workers will be able to remain safe even in those places where it is difficult for humans to breathe.

Will keep an eye on the health of rescue workers

This device not only observes the surrounding environment, but also takes full care of the health of the person wearing it. This helmet continuously monitors the vital signs of the rescuer during dangerous missions. If the rescue worker’s heartbeat increases or he has any physical problem, it is immediately known to the control room. This technology will help in reducing the time of rescue operation and increase the safety of the team.
