Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has officially launched a major tourism project on 10 February 2026. It has been named ‘Al Layan Oasis’ and is being seen as a new link in the economic development of the city. This entire project will be spread over a vast area of 10 million square feet, which will give a new direction to tourism in Dubai.

What facilities will be available in this oasis?
The biggest feature of this project is the huge lake being built in the middle of it, which alone will take up 2.5 million square feet of space. Many means of entertainment will be available for the people coming here. In this, space will be created especially for camping and separate tracks for sports. Special arrangements are being made here to give a unique tourism experience in the middle of the desert, which has never been seen before.
Big budget of 4 billion dirhams passed
This project is part of a special package from the Government of Dubai, for which a total of 4 billion dirhams (AED) has been allocated. This fund will be used to develop projects related to water and greenery in the city. Sheikh Mohammed informed on social media that this project will write a new chapter in the story of Dubai’s development. At present, no official announcement has been made regarding its opening date and ticket prices.
