On the other hand, 187 people of Andhra Pradesh are stuck in Nepal. The Indian Embassy (Kathmandu) and the helpline numbers of the state government have been issued for Indians in Nepal.
It is believed that miscreants can take advantage of this unrest and incite violence in neighboring Indian states. Intelligence sources have alerted that anti -social elements can try to damage violence and public property in border Indian states by taking advantage of Nepal’s turbulent atmosphere. Officials say that after this intelligence information, security forces deployed along the India-Nepal border including Uttarakhand Police, Uttar Pradesh Police, Bihar Police and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) have been alerted. Security measures have been tightened to prevent any possible violation of law and order on the 1,751 km long open border in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar.
