This was announced by Swiss President Guy Parmelin during the ongoing 2026 summit in New Delhi. With this decision, UAE is going to further strengthen its hold in the technology world.

When and where will the next summit take place?
A roadmap for this global summit has been prepared for the coming few years. Currently, the 2026 event is going on at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the capital of India. Subsequent events will be as follows:
2027: Geneva, Switzerland (in the first half of the year).
2028: United Arab Emirates (dates yet to come).
The Swiss President made it clear that Switzerland is ready to host the 2027 summit and will then work with the UAE as a partner for 2028.
Important meeting between India and UAE
Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also participated in this ongoing summit in New Delhi. He held a special meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Swiss President.
