The Foreign Ministry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued an important advisory for its citizens present in Spain. This alert was given through the UAE Mission in Madrid on 7 February 2026. In many areas of Spain, the weather has become very bad due to ‘Storm Leonard’ and the upcoming ‘Storm Marta’, due to which these precautions are being taken. The ministry has asked people to remain alert and obey the local administration.

Impact of the storm and the current situation there
After ‘Storm Leonard’ in Spain, now ‘Storm Marta’ is expected to arrive on Saturday, which may cause heavy rains. More than 7,000 people have been evacuated to safe places from the Andalusia region. Due to heavy rains and strong winds, more than 118 roads are closed and rail service has also been affected at many places. A girl is reported missing in Málaga, while one death has been confirmed in Portugal.
